1. Best New Artist: Chappell Roan, Raye, and Sabrina Carpenter.
These three women have been taking serious steps in their careers over the last year. With bold album releases, prominent festival spots, and tour openings for major artists, they’re pushing boundaries and redefining excellence in today’s music industry.
2. Album of the Year: HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Cowboy Carter, and BRAT.
Charli XCX owned the summer with BRAT, release as unmistakably bold as its vivid green aesthetic. Beyoncé made her mark on country music with Cowboy Carter, paying tribute to several legends while doing so. Billie Eilish captured listeners with her third album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, notably releasing her first openly queer songs.
3. Song of the Year: Not Like Us, Die With A Smile, and Good Luck Babe!
Kendrick Lamar hit Drake hard with his viral diss track, “Not Like Us.” Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars combined their musical mastery for the powerhouse song, “Die With A Smile.” Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck Babe!” is an exciting pop anthem all about complicated romance and compulsive heterosexuality.
4. Record of the Year: Espresso, 360, and BIRDS OF A FEATHER.
Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” let us all know she has been working late because she’s a singer – perhaps it’s time for her to take her place as a GRAMMY winner for this ear worming track! Charli XCX’s “360” is such a fun, hyperpop song that encapsulates what BRAT is all about. And Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” was a summery smash hit celebrating friendship.
Every nominee is so talented and deserving, and we can’t wait to find out on February 2, 2025 who will be taking home the win!
