Tyler the Creator brought ‘CHROMAKOPIA: THE WORLD TOUR’ to Fiserv Forum

Paris Texas began the night on the b-stage, dancing around and shouting, interacting with the crowd. It was my first glimpse of their music and of them as performers, and I loved their energy. It definitely made the concert begin on a high note. The next performance was Lil Yachty, also taking over on the b-stage. He had the pit moshing for a few tracks. He went so hard on the stage that he took a tumble off of it. The crowd was especially hype for favorites like “iSpy” and “Minnesota.”

Tyler the Creator kicked off his set marching on the main stage to St. Chroma, a green suit attire to match the album’s aesthetics. For tracks like “Darling, I” and “See You Again,” the crowd loudly sang together, forming a chorus in the arena. He traveled across a raised catwalk and threw money down to the pit during his performance of “Sticky.” On the b-stage, he swapped his look out for something more relaxed and sorted through vinyl of his earlier albums, playing snippets of songs. It was an exciting journey through different eras of his music with iconic tracks like “EARFQUAKE,” “Yonkers,” and “DOGTOOTH” that had everyone cheering. He took time to joke with the audience, teasing them about whether they actually knew the earlier music.

For “Balloon,” he even played a video of Doechii, so we could imagine her presence for her verse on the track. He ended the concert with “I Hope You Find Your Way Home.” Between the set design, outfits, visuals, and song choices, it was an incredible experience that had me dancing around in the arena. If you are debating whether to get tickets to a show, you should definitely go for it! Even casual listeners will be pulled in by the performance.
