Now that nominations are out, we’ve been considering which contenders we feel are the best for the wins! Here are our top three picks in each of the main four categories.

1. Best New Artist: Chappell Roan, Raye, Sabrina Carpenter

These three women made their mark on music this past year. With album releases, festival spots, and tour openings for major artists, theyโ€™re pushing boundaries and redefining excellence. After years of hard work, it’s nice to finally see them get their flowers.

2. Album of the Year: BRAT, Cowboy Carter, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT

These albums are a testament to the talent and artistry that these singers possess. Charli XCX owned the summer with BRAT, a release as unmistakably bold as its green aesthetic. Beyoncรฉ entered country music with Cowboy Carter, paying tribute to several legends while doing so. Billie Eilishโ€™s third album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, captivated fans with her first openly queer songs.

3. Song of the Year: Not Like Us, Die With A Smile, Good Luck, Babe!

Kendrick Lamar was on everyoneโ€™s radar with his hard-hitting diss track, “Not Like Us.” Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars teamed up to deliver a powerhouse track with “Die With A Smile.” And Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” is an addictive anthem on compulsory heterosexuality.

4. Record of the Year: Espresso, 360, BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Sabrina Carpenter has been working late because she’s a singer – ready to take her spot as a GRAMMY winner with chart-topper, “Espresso.” Charli XCX’s “360” is a hyperpop track that encapsulates what BRAT is all about. Billie Eilish’s BIRDS OF A FEATHER was a summer hit all about friendship.

Every nominee is so talented and deserving, and we can’t wait to find out on February 2, 2025 who will be taking home the win!
